Highlights:
1. Treasurer’s Report
The BPI account was opened with an initial
deposit of P10,000+.
BPI required us to submit an Official Minutes
of the Core Group Meeting duly signed by the Secretary. In the minutes (form
from BPI), it is stated that any and all withdrawals from the group’s account, including checks, notes, drafts against
said bank account as well as any other debit instructions of transfers of funds to and from any of the group’s account
shall bear the signatures of Aji Manalo, Arlene Avendaņo, and Rachel dela Cruz. In
addition, they are authorized to inquire on matters pertaining to the group’s accounts as well as confirm the due issuance
of the group’s checks, the correctness of all the entries thereon and/or related transactions/matters.
Upon submission of the official minutes, the
account name will be changed to STCQC Batch ’85.
2. On SEC Registration
Since, we haven’t identified major fund-raising
activities for the batch, it was decided to postpone the group’s registration with SEC.
In the meantime, we will issue acknowledgement
receipts for contributions received, for the sale of the CD and the sale of Jenny’s book.
3. Official Batch Representative Abroad
It was decided to designate Cherrie Perez-Woo
as the official batch representative abroad.
4. Initial Fund-Raising Activities
We will continue to sell the following:
STCQC ’85 Annual CD
Fuel for Flight (Jenny’s book)
In addition, we are now selling the following:
“Guhit Tugtugin” – a self-produced CD by Aji Manalo containing a
collection of Filipino music. Price: P300,
$20 (excluding shipping)
Internet Domain –
c/o Malu Simeon-Florendo (around 500 are available). Price: $70
* percentage
from sales will go to the funds of the batch
* if you have anything to sell which will
help raise funds for the batch, you may coordinate with any member of the core group
5. On our Website
There
was a suggestion to have our own website. Malu Simeon-Florendo was kind enough
to donate 1 domain for our batch. We need to decide on the name (any suggestion)
and on the webpage design (any volunteers).
6. On the Contribution
It was decided during the February 19 core
group meeting that each will contribute P6,000. It can be a one-time payment
of the full amount or installment payment (from January 2005 to December 2009) of P100 monthly, P300 quarterly, P600 semi-annually
and P1,200 annually.
The amount raised from the contribution will
be used to fund activities for the 2010 Homecoming.
7. Planning Session
There is a need to firm up our plans for the
2010 Homecoming. As such, we will be having a planning session on April 16,
2005 at Arlene Avendaņo’s place in West Triangle.
Expected output: vision-mission statement,
objectives, yearly targets, activities and tentative budgetary requirement (para malaman natin kung saan mapunta ang pera).
Jenny Lee will facilitate the workshop. Audrey will provide the white board and white board markers. We will start promptly at 9:00 am (para matapos tayo agad). As usual, we will bring food for the whole
day affair.
Please try to attend this planning workshop.
8. Regular
